The NHL released the 2022-23 regular-season schedule late Wednesday afternoon. The Washington Capitals start the campaign on Wednesday, October 12 against the Boston Bruins at Capital One Arena. Their first road game will be the next day vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The NHL season will kick off with the San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators playing a back-to-back from October 7-8 in Prague, Czech Republic as part of the 2022 NHL Global Series.

I remember when back-to-backs were against the same team. With todays brutal travel schedule and extra time off I suprised that the Players Union doesnt want them scraped. I find that most teams play poorly in either the front end or the back end of the back-to-backs. I would be fairer to allow players at least their normal day of est rather then subjecting them to something that is just tradition, and a bad one at that.

Can wereverse the trade that sent him to detroit as it is working out about as well as any of GMBM trades. maybe its time to stop trading players and multiple picks for one player and just hold unto the picks that we have. Wonder if we could trafr GMBM for a bag of pucks and some gatorade bottles? Know what would be funny….if when we play the Kraken Sprong goes wild and scores a hat trick. Sorry but just tired of trading players and picks and ending up with nothing.
